A. Once you stain the interior of your home you never have to do it again unlike dry walled homes that need to be painted every few years.  If you use a good high quality stain on the exterior of the home you will stain your home every few years depending on environmental conditions.

A. Log homes are not the drafty old cabins from many years ago.  Technology has played a major role in sealing the logs along with the building of log homes. Many of these sealing and building advancements are used by the top log home companies which create very energy efficient homes that meet or exceed local building codes.

Q. Are all log home companies packages the same?
A. When researching log home companies make sure you understand exactly what you are getting in their package. Does the package include windows and doors? What type of roofing materials and system is included?  Does the package include engineered stamped blueprints or just blueprints you need to have engineer certified?
